Nabi's Park Coffee
Samim Kocagöz, who reflects the problems, daily lives and emotions of village and town people with a simple language and realistic attitude based on observations, was first published in 1948 under the name "Two Doors of a City". Nabi's Park Kahvesi was one of the important classics of the period. We are bringing together with the readers again Samim Kocagöz's novel, which he revised during his lifetime upon the suggestion of Memet Fuat.
Yakup Kadri says;
You have previously told me about the subject of your story. I also told you that I intended to write a town novel. But, to be honest, after reading your work, I started to feel the need to give up this intention. Because you have expressed and consumed this subject with such a close view, with so much acceptance and understanding, that from now on, we cannot convince anyone that any town novel is not inspired by 'Nabi's Park Café'.
