The end of the single-party regime in Turkey is generally referred to as the transition period to democracy or multi-party life. In his book series titled "The Establishment Years of the Two-Party Political System in Turkey (1945-1950)", Cemil Koçak brings into question the established historical assumptions and questions this naming. The fundamental feature of this process is that the regime changes but cannot transform. The political system we live in and the problems caused by the establishment of this system are also the product of this period. This comprehensive research proposes to reconsider the much-discussed period in all its dimensions and in depth. In proposing this, he takes into account not only foreign policy developments or domestic political debates, but also a dynamic analysis in which these occur simultaneously. It places the analysis framework on a wide horizon with discussions based on documents, memoirs, magazines, newspapers, diplomatic reports and research. With this book series, which is a continuation of his research titled The National Chief Period in Turkey (1938-1945), Cemil Koçak reveals the most detailed and comprehensive panorama of one of the controversial periods of Turkey's political history.

Regime Crisis focuses on one of the most difficult periods of the CHP, which has consolidated its influence in political life as a single party, and the opposition party DP. While Turkey's foreign policy, trying to side with the Western allies against the Soviet Union, entered a new phase with diplomatic negotiations between America and England, in domestic politics the government put severe pressure on the left opposition. These policies, which also allow the DP to restrict its field of action, are the birth pains of a new era in political, economic, social and military terms.
