Selected Stories - Cloth-bound Book Description Today, Ömer Seyfettin, who is considered as one of the founders of contemporary Turkish storytelling and the National Literature Movement, stands out from his contemporaries with the variety of subjects and characters in the stories he wrote, and with his care to use a simple and easily understandable language and style in his stories, and stands out as one of the greatest writers in Turkish Literature. He has become one of the well-known and read short story writers. In this work called Selected Stories, the author's stories Ant, Magician, Diyet, Efruz Bey, Falaka, Ferman, Forsa, Hidden Mabet, Kütük, Pink Pearl Kaftan, Perili Köşk, Topuz, Yalnız Efe are included. The work prepared for publication by Ceyda Yüksel was edited by Tülay Gençtürk Demircioğlu, a faculty member at Boğaziçi University Turkish Language and Literature Department. The stories in the work have been translated with the aim of being as appropriate to the language and spirit of the period as possible, but also understandable for today's readers.
