Wooden Suitcase
Hüso/Dino, the strangest of strangers who witnessed the eighty-year history of a people, became an orphan before he was born and spent his childhood in poverty. Hüso/Dino, who grew up with the support and solidarity of the people in the village, takes refuge in Lemo's fairy tales and stories as he is oppressed by the children of the village. But at that time, Hüso/Dino could not have known that these stories would shape his entire life.
While Hüso/Dino was in the military, Garip from Diyarbekir gave him a Wooden Suitcase as a gift. When he returned to his village, his mother was dead. His villagers marry him to Nergiz. When Nergiz appears with the clothes Hüso/Dino brought from Diyarbekir in his Wooden Suitcase, everyone is surprised by her beauty. Hüso/Dino falls in love with Nergiz, who resembles the colorful flowers growing in the tulip garden. Hüso/Dino and Nergiz, who are struggling to survive in difficult conditions in the village, lose their daughter Xezal because they cannot find the money to treat her. During this period, when Germany announced that it would recruit workers from Turkey, Hüso/Dino decided to go to Germany as a worker so that their newborn children would not die.
After the death of his daughter, Hüso/Dino, who constantly oscillates between dreams and reality, sets out on a new adventure with his wooden suitcase in hand. Stuck between dream and reality, Hüso/Dino's adventure begins to progress much faster in Germany; new friendships, organizations, new people. Hüso/Dino's journey from himself to other people, from other people to himself, never ends.
"Wooden Suitcase", in which Hüso/Dino, who tries to make sense of himself through smoke, fog, clouds, mountains, stones, rivers and dreams, tells about himself and his loves in deep corridors, with a world of anger and peace, also witnesses an important socio-economic period.
