Even though he has mostly been evaluated within the framework of "national literature" and has only focused on the historical background of his stories, he is actually an author who deserves much more than that. In this small selection, which includes a total of 27 stories and which we named High Heels, based on his famous story, we have included the author's works with humorous features, as well as stories that are memoirs and tell about events that took place in different periods of Turkish history.
