In Turkey's Search for Economic Policy in the World Depression of 1929, which is the first volume of the Documentary Economic History of Turkey studies, it is investigated how Turkey reorganized its political and economic policies when it entered the great depression. This period, which is examined in detail, covers the period from the meeting of the Supreme Economic Council in June 1929 to the Third Great Congress of the Republican People's Party, which was held in May 1931, where six arrows and the principle of statism were included in its program.
In the appendices of the book, Turkey's first economic plan, also known as the Şakir Kesebir plan, the first program developed by the İnönü cabinet against the crisis, Hjamar Schacht and Karl Müller's reports on the establishment of the Central Bank in Turkey, Turkish Finance by the famous economist of the period, M. Charles Rist. and the economics section of the CHF program with its report on the Balance of Payments.
