The expression "Islamic Republic of Iran" used in the title of this study refers to the cycles of Iran, Islam and Capitalism respectively. Although it based its existence on these three sources, the evolution of the Iranian Revolution into the Islamic Revolution is proof that there is no linear historical flow. Because today's Iranian society, whose formation is the result of intertwined historical processes, has an ancient and multi-layered past. Before the 16th century, the logic of social order in Iran continued with the combination of the Iranian cycle injected into the Islamic cycle. In the modern period, the Capitalism cycle in Iran could not dominate the other two cycles. Because the Capitalism cycle has not been taken as the basic reference network in constructing the logic of social order and the Iranian and Islamic cycles have not been injected as mechanisms that help produce consent to this fiction. The effects of this situation point to the main reason for the ongoing tensions and fractures in Iran.
