White Nights

White Nights, which is quite different from Dostoyevsky's other realistic and pessimistic works, contains some romantic elements and reflects an enthusiastic mood.

He and the young girl named Nastenka spent four white nights in St. Petersburg, where they shared all their dreams and memories. He spends his time on the streets of St. Petersburg. Nastenka; She is waiting for her lover, whom she met a few years ago but has been away for a year. The young man and the girl get closer to each other during the nights they spend, and they both experience moments where they forget their pessimistic feelings. At the end of the fourth night, Nastenka's lover, whom she has been waiting for, arrives and the young girl elegantly ends the elegant love affair that started between her and the hero of the story, and returns to her lover. The young man, the hero of the book, continues his dreamer life as before.
