Michelangelo (1475-1564): His full name is Michelangelo di Lodovico Buonarroti Simoni. Italian Renaissance artist who had a unique influence on the development of Western art was a sculptor, painter, architect and poet. He started making the statue of David, one of his most well-known works, at the age of 26 and completed it in about four years. Pope John II The ceiling frescoes he painted in the Sistine Chapel between 1508 and 1512, at the request of Julius, made him known as one of the greatest artists of all time. He spent the last years of his life as the architect of St. Peter's Basilica, which was built with the contribution of famous architects of all periods, from 1506 to 1626. The artist's poetry collection consists of 302 poems, some of which are incomplete, and a number of fragments. Poems written in classical forms such as sonnet, madrigal, terza rima are remarkable with the sincerity of expression, subtlety of emotions and depth of thoughts expressed.
