'It is seen that Özdemir Asaf deepens the problem of the 'second person' in the poet, the relations between the second person and himself, from various aspects, abstracts the behaviors that fill his life and raises it to a plane of thought, and while doing this, he uses a special language, different from the common form understanding of the 1950 poetry; It is also possible that he often minimizes the number of lines in a contradictory and playful logical order.'
Behçet Necatigil
'When Özdemir Asaf found his personality and clarified the characteristics of his poetry in the 1950s, he was a poet outside all movements. He resembled the wise poets of the Far Eastern countries by condensing his thoughts and emotions and writing short poems. With this feature, it could be attributed to the early days of the Garip movement, but this understanding, which did not hold much of a place in that movement, was adopted, carefully processed and developed by giving great importance to thought in Özdemir Asaf. Poetry was sought to intensify thoughts and feelings. It was clear that even in long poems the pieces were treated with this understanding.' Memet Fuat

Flower Symphony - Collected Poems brings together seven poetry books published by Özdemir Asaf, one of the most original names of contemporary Turkish poetry, during his lifetime: The World Has Missed Me, You Are You, In Front of a Door, Not Softness, How Are You, Don't Eat the Flowers, Loneliness Cannot Be Shared.
