Dictionary of Terms of Psychology of Religion Book Description When looking at the development of the psychology of religion, it can be said that it has found its best reputation in the USA. In this country, since the 1850s, the psychology of religion has not been inferior to other branches of science in terms of experimental and field studies. Although the development of the psychology of work and religion in Western countries is initially parallel to the USA, it is below the research in this country in terms of intensity and added value. In our country, since the psychology of religion did not receive the necessary value in the psychology departments of our universities, its development started only after it was included in the curriculum of the faculties of Theology in 1952, with the faculty members of the Psychology of Religion Department of these faculties. Nowadays, this field is among the favorite branches of science in the world and in our country, both with the scientific knowledge it has achieved and with understanding the psychological mechanisms of religious-related individual problems encountered in social life and being an actor that should be taken into consideration in individual assistance.
