A selection from “Swedish Literature”
When Swedish literature is mentioned in Turkey, the first thing that comes to mind is detective novels; But Swedish literature is undoubtedly a literature with a broader perspective and more versatile. Writer Firat Cewerî, who lives in Sweden, introduces approximately forty Swedish writers with their works, from past to present, in his Swedish literature anthology (Avesta) prepared in Turkish and Kurdish.
This country, which has not witnessed any war in the last two hundred years, has not experienced any period of conflict, and has distributed the Nobel Prize in Literature, the most prestigious award in the world, since 1901, has also played a major role in the development of modern Kurdish literature. We are happy to present to you the border-crossing literature of this cold country of the north, in this warm environment of our country...
