Kurdish Carpet and Rug Patterns from Philosophical and Mythological Perspectives
In terms of philosophy and mythology, the Kurdish Carpet and Rug Book is the product of ten years of effort. After the first chapter in which it explains how Kurdish carpets and rugs are made and what efforts they are made of, the book explains the structural and artistic features of these carpets and rugs. In the patterns section, which is the main subject of the book, he attempts to explain the meanings of the patterns on Kurdish carpets and rugs. This section explains the shapes the patterns took before and after Islam and the changes in meaning they underwent.
The book expresses, starting from the Matriarch period, how the place of women and men in society changed in slave and feudal societies, respectively, in a holistic manner, in parallel with Kurdish carpet and kilim patterns.
The book is not only a mythology or philosophy book, but also a visual history book. The author of the book, using his 30 years of philosophy teaching experience, explains carpet and rug patterns in parallel with the mythological history of philosophy and Mesopotamia, using archaeological data, and also reveals how world beliefs are integrated and how Mesopotamian, Egyptian, Indian and Chinese cultures feed on each other. It also draws attention to the similarities between Latin American culture and Kurdish culture and reveals how world mythologies are nourished from the same source.
In this book you will find much more than what is explained here.
