Galib's Divan - Hasan Ali Yücel Classics
Mirza Esedullah Khan Galib (1797 - 1869): Galib, who is considered the legendary poet of the Urdu language, reveals his difference with both the content of his poetry, his style, tone and creativity. He also wrote Sufi-themed poems in line with the understanding of his period, but all kinds of human emotions are included in his works in full detail, and instead of longing for the otherworldly, worldly concentration predominates. Galib's Divan was published six times under different names and with arrangements made by the poet himself during his lifetime. In these editions, many ghazals and couplets were removed from the divan by the poet himself. This divan that we published is the divan on which Galib authorities, especially Gulam Resul Mehr, are based.
