Göbekli Tepe did not appear suddenly. Although we do not know its original name, it is one of the peaks of the culture of its time, which has existed in this geography since ancient times and perhaps emerged as a result of a synthesis of multi-coloured cultures.
The complex structure of Göbekli Tepe, expressed both in architecture and symbols, also indicates that it is not a narrow, regional formation. Apparently, it emerged as a result of the synthesis and product of a multi-coloured complex of cultures that have exchanged cultural and religious beliefs with each other through different societies living in a wide geography over thousands of years.

This building complex, which included a temple and many other functions, had many social, religious, economic and other functions. Social organization requires ethics of living together and rules of behavior. Separating the periodically advancing time into certain periods and planning appropriate activities has made the calendar necessary. It is through these and similar centers that the work is started at the right time, completed at the right time and made the best use of time.

These are not just places of worship; They were also places where a kind of pilgrimage was made, allowing communities of people with the same belief and living far from each other to gather at certain times of the year.
