Formation and Location of Pir Sultan Hearth

Research on Alevi Hak-lover Pir Sultan began a hundred years ago. Rumors about his identity were compiled and written down. Many scenarios were created based on these rumors.

Dozens of books and hundreds of articles have been published about him. However, no effort was made to obtain a document mentioning his name, and Ottoman records regarding the village of Banaz were not even looked at.

With this book, the era of rumor-based research comes to an end.

In the book, along with the cadastral records in which Pir Sultan's name is mentioned, documents containing the history of Banaz village and its relationship with Hızır Pasha family are presented to the reader.

Subjects such as why Pir Sultan was hanged, the dede clan he belonged to, which sayings belong to him, whether there was more than one Pir Sultan are discussed, adding a brand new dimension to Pir Sultan research.

Who were the founders of the Dede lodge and where did they live?

What is the ethnic origin of the Alevis in Türkiye, Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Iran, Azerbaijan and Bulgaria?

What is the relationship between ethnicity and grandfather's family?

These issues, which are very important for Alevism and Alevis, are discussed based on solid sources and without prejudice, unlike the research published in Turkey, most of which consist of fantasies.
