AZADI'S STATEMENTS ABOUT SHEIKH SAID AND LETTERS OF CIBIRANLI HALIT BEY

The main purpose of this research, written on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Xoybûn, one of the most important political organizations of modern Kurdish nationalism, is to introduce the organization in its different dimensions and to clarify some wrong views and theses on this subject.

Rohat Alakom, known for his research on recent Kurdish history, in this study, deals with the staffing, leadership and intra-organizational conflicts in Xoybûn, and also reveals the Ağrı Uprising that developed under the leadership of the organization, with documents and witnesses; It introduces many personalities who led the uprising, from İhsan Nuri Pasha to Ferzende, from Biroyê Heskê Têlî to Halis Bey.

In this book, Rohat Alakom focuses on the Xoybûn organization, one of the most important political structures of modern Kurdish nationalism, and describes the Ağrı uprising that developed under the leadership of the organization. The study, which is one of the first books published in Turkey about the Xoybûn organization, which was founded in 1927 and continued its existence until 1946, not only clarifies some false claims put forward about Xoybûn, but also enlightens its readers about the staffing, leadership and intra-organizational conflicts in the organization. Alakom, who also discusses the before and after of the Ağrı uprising in a separate section, has enriched his research with numerous documents.
