  • Ebu Hanife The most striking quality to anyone who reads 's manuscripts is the breadth of his knowledge. His extensive interdisciplinary knowledge and his portrait of a versatile scholar, which we encounter at every moment in every work he wrote and on every subject, have left their mark on his works. For example, his Kitab al-Nebat (The Book of Flora), consisting of six large volumes, is not only a fundamental source on subjects such as plants and their morphological classification, soil morphology and hydrology, but also the most complete book of the Middle Ages in the field of plant names and their use in poetic literature. Today, in the birthplace of Abu Hanifa, there is Shirkan Village, which stands silently in the middle of ruined stone walls, arches and cemeteries. Dinever now serves international art smugglers as a rich area to plunder. Moreover, even the ancient Gorani dialect of Kurdish, which was Abu Hanifa's native language, has almost certainly been replaced by the Kurmanji, Sorani and Kelhuri dialects of Kurdish, except for the small town of Kandula in the northwestern corner of the Dinever plain. However, Abu Hanifa's contribution and legacy, which has survived to this day through his works, elevates him to a much higher level than these ruins, and makes him the mastermind of all times, despite the changes in the opposite direction. Although he is one of the native sons of Kurdistan, this Renaissance man's life of success and intense contributions makes him a true world citizen.

    "There was a time in my life when I had neither a job nor a friend to talk to for years. I took advantage of the opportunity I was the first to enter the Paris library in the morning and the last to leave at night. There, the kind librarian of the School of Oriental Languages gave me the keys to the 20 volumes of Tâj ul-Arab, 17 of Ibn Sîde. Ibn ul-Baytâr's is in 4 volumes; there are the voluminous dictionaries of al-Azharî in London, Ibn Semecû's in Oxford, and the manuscripts of Muhkemin and Ubâb are available in Istanbul, and each of them contains thousands of pages. I have read every line and every word of these dictionaries, as well as other manuscripts or printed ones. Every time I came across a record belonging to Dineverî, I copied it on a separate slip.
    Of course, there were repetitions of the same texts in many sources. Then I classified them and, by removing the repetitions, partially restored the entire botanical encyclopedia of Dineverî, which in my copy contained more than 2000 pages." and he wrote an introduction to the Urdu translation published in Pakistan.
