ABOUT THE AUTHOR Born in Istanbul. He graduated from Ankara University, Faculty of Languages, History and Geography, Department of Theatre. The author's first book, which appeared with his articles and poems in various magazines and newspapers, was Mahmud and Yezida, published in 1980. Murathan Mungan, who is better known for his poems, stories, novels and plays, also wrote radio plays, movie scripts and song lyrics. The author, who spent 2007 very productively, published five books in different genres: Used Tickets (film articles), Paper Stone Cloth (play), Turkish History of Growing Up (story selection), Kirk Room with Seven Doors (story) and The Mountain (poem)
