Kamiran Ali Bedirxan (1895-1978)
The book covering Kamiran Alî Bedirxan from many different aspects was published with the same name.
Hawar was a linguist, poet and poet who pioneered the rebirth of Kurdish culture in the 1930s and 1940s with his older brother Emir Celadet through the magazines Roja Nû and Stêrk, and taught Kurdish language and civilization at the Faculty of Oriental Languages in Paris from 1948 to 1970. Emir Kamiran Alî Bedirxan, doctor of law, also played a distinguished intermediary role in French-Kurdish relations.
The Paris Kurdish Institute wanted to pay tribute to him by organizing a conference in Paris in December 2018 to commemorate the 40th anniversary of his death. The journal Études Kurdes (Kurdish Studies) presents in this special issue the articles of this exceptional conference, as well as a large number of archival documents, usually unpublished.
