Focusing on the history of capitalism and economics from the mid-18th century to the 21st century, this book critically analyzes the dynamic, interactive bond between capitalism and economic theory. In this context, the studies carried out for many years in both fields are discussed within the flow of the subjects, and it is shown that the economists within the dominant economic movement are ideologists who sanctify capitalism in one way or another. The theses of major economists who belong to or oppose the dominant economic school are also summarized in the study: Adam Smith, Thomas Malthus, Jeremy Bentham, John Stuart Mill, Karl Marx, Thorstein Veblen, Rosa Luxemburg, John Maynard Keynes, Paul Samuelson, Milton Friedman and Eric Hobsbawm.

This study addresses the community of sensitive people who read, whether academically or not, who sense or feel in their bones that the social and economic trend is not going, but are inadequate to meet the convoluted theses of the dominant economists and their partners in politics.

By taking into account the community in question, the book aims to erase the impact of the dangerous theses that govern today's economic policy, to decipher that capitalism is more destructive than constructive, as a result of and despite the changes it has undergone over the years, and then puts forward a bundle of possible and desirable options.
