Volume 1

Book One: Theory and Curriculum
Second Book: Principality Madrasahs

The study titled "Kurdish Madrasahs and Scholars", prepared and written by Kadri Yıldırım, was published by Avesta Publications. The first volume of the comprehensive study consisting of three volumes consists of two books named "Theory and Curriculum" and "Beylik Madrasahs". The second volume is devoted to "Madrasas Affiliated to Dervish Lodges". In the third volume, "Mosque and Cells" are discussed.

Kurdish Madrasas are large and small civilization buildings where the religious and national culture of the Kurdish people is shaped. The Kurdish religious understanding, language, literature, history and morality, balanced between extremes and indecencies, were actually shaped in these buildings built with a collective harmony. Selahaddin Ayyubî, Seydayê Xanî, Mevlana Halid, Sheikh Ubeydullah Nehrî, Sheikh Said, Said Nursi and many other historical figures became schools with the foundations they built in these buildings. Kurdish scholars and students, who have been educating in Kurdish as their native language for at least a thousand years, have both saved this language from extinction and become the inventors of a madrasa-oriented terminology. Our three-volume serial study titled "Kurdish Madrasahs and Scholars" was conducted in this context. In the first volume, Theory, Curriculum and “Beylik Madrassas” founded by Kurdish lords; In the second volume, "Madressahs Affiliated to Dervish Lodges", which form a wide network in the Kurdish geography; In the third volume, "Mosques and Cells", which is innumerable, were examined. While doing this, a local investigation was not carried out, focusing only on the Kurdish regions in Turkey; The Kurdish regions of Iran, Iraq and Syria and the Ayyubids are also comprehensively included in the scope. This research has been prepared with the aim of removing the dust on these madrasah types, which are our cultural treasures that are covered up and wanted to be forgotten knowingly or unknowingly, and thus to meet ourselves again. Let's not forget and let's not let us forget!
