Bird's Eye View - All His Poems 1969 - 2018 Book Description All the poems of İzzet Yasar have been collected in one volume. All the poetry books of İzzet Yasar, who passed away in 2018, and the poems that remained in his magazine pages and drawers have been collected under the name Bird's Eye. Bird's Eye View, which the poet published between 1969 and 2018, includes Bleeding (1974), New Bird's Eye View (1979), Dead Book (1982), Language Games (2002), That Poem You Will Never Write (2007), In Pursuit of Another Mind (2010), Healing. and Taburcu (2018), as well as his poems that were typed and unpublished or remained in the magazines in which they appeared. İzzet Yasar, who has a special and unique place in the last fifty years of our contemporary poetry, poetizes his critical, contradictory and sarcastic attitude with great mastery. “Big issues” are redefined in his poetry by moving them to the far corners of the language. Many poets and critics, from Ece Ayhan to İlhan Berk, from Murat Belge to Orhan Koçak, have evaluated İzzet Yasar's poetry. İlhan Berk: Today, İzzet Yaşar continues a closed, difficult, cursed poem all by himself. It's almost as if he doesn't want to be understood or shared. And is it real? That's why the real truth in poetry lies in not being real. Murat Belge: A characteristic of İzzet Yasar that has not changed since the very beginning is his use of sound to create both harmony and “acoustic associations” that bring Joyce to mind. The first function comes to the fore when he says, "What a great awakening and what a blessed oblivion," the second function comes to the fore when he says, "Don't be afraid, this male power will never abandon you," and the third function, which I haven't mentioned yet, comes to the fore: This third is again one of the tools through which he produces his multi-faceted humor. Orhan Koçak: Father's Regime is Father's Law. Yasar always quarrels with, in short, Law. In this case, he could not have failed to notice the irony of his own surname; He benefited greatly from this disagreement and created his poetry by retreating into this position of "living without living" - without forgetting the works. İzzet Yaşar: I don't want to be in the position of "judgement". I do not want to express an opinion on the recent history of our poetry. As Behçet Necatigil said, let's mind our business. Let's try to write good poetry, whether whiny or petulant. Time gives the judgement. Ultimately, good poetry drives out bad poetry. (From the Promotional Bulletin)
