We have to ask not only how to take power, but also what kind of power we want and, perhaps more importantly, what we want to become. As Hegel said, “everything depends on the grasping and expression of the True not only as Substance but also as Subject.” We have to prepare ourselves to see how movements have the potential to redefine fundamental social relations so that they can seize power not as it is but in a different way, create a completely new, democratic society and, most importantly, establish new subjectivities...
