  • Translated from Russian: İbrahim Kale
  • P.I. Averyanov's book, consisting of eight chapters and covering Russia's wars with its neighbors and two major Kurdish uprisings (the Yezdanşêr rebellion of 1853-56 and the Sheikh Ubeydullah rebellion of 1880-82), was published in 1900. There were 33 interesting documents in the appendices of the book, which increased the value of the book as a primary source.
Despite the interest of the general staff of the Caucasian military department in writing this book, the book was not considered secret or exclusive to the service. After its publication, the book attracted the attention of Turkey's military institutions and was immediately translated into Turkish for in-service use.
