Economic Actors of the Ottoman War 1914 - 1919 Book Description

Based on the connection between world-scale division of labor and dependency relations and the possibility of war, this study examines the commercial relations of the Empire with its allies during World War I through commodity monographs and establishment/company "biographies". While these histories showcase the conflicts that arose between the Military, the Government and the Party for access to resources, they also enable a critical look at the capital accumulation model called "national economy". The book aims to determine the differences of the Ottoman war economy by focusing on the organizations that traded in commodities that were subject to dependency in the World War.
