The Call of Politics
Fatmagül Berktay, in her work of which we have published the 2nd edition, states that embracing politics, which is one of the most important tools that serve to regulate the collective existence and action of humans, establishing its connection with the past and the future, helps us make sense of the present and transform ourselves into real subjects by not accepting the conditions we live in as "destiny". It argues that politics is indispensable for politics and follows the curious adventure of politics from Aristotle to Hannah Arendt and contemporary feminist political theory. Berktay, who politicizes history through historical subjects, people and texts that he deals with with a critical and multi-disciplinary method, invites the reader to listen to the call of politics so that "the world could be different".
