Poulantzas Kitabı
Nicos Poulantzas (1936-1979) was one of the leading Marxist theorists of the late twentieth century. From the mid-1960s onwards, he developed seminal analyzes of the state and social classes and made unique contributions to the theoretical dimension of radical political analysis during the crisis years of post-war capitalism. Poulantzas, who was born and educated in Greece and then went to Paris as a law student, was closely interested in the philosophical movements of the age. Influenced first by Sartrean existentialism and then by Althusser's structuralism, Poulantzas brought great depth to the Marxist understanding of politics.
The book in your hand brings together his basic writings, which can be collected under the headings of state, social classes, philosophy of law and political sociology. This work, which includes Poulantzas's discussions on the state with Ralph Miliband and Ernesto Laclau, as well as the analyzes developed by this great political theorist regarding hegemony and authoritarianism - at a time when monopoly capitalism was in crisis - will also appeal to students of social and political theory and revolutionary groups. It has the feature of being an indispensable introductory book for readers who are aware of the importance of theory in terms of understanding and making sense of the facts.
