Şarap ve Neşe Tanrısı-Dionysos
From the Golden Plains of Lydia
Dionysus, God of Wine and Joy, Coming from the Sandy Deserts of Arabia
One of the days when Dionysus was chasing gazelles on the top of Mount Nysa, as usual, he suddenly came across two large lions. The young god was startled and involuntarily took a few steps back. The lions came and began to lick the god's hands and put their heads between his legs. Dionysus realized that he no longer had to fear them. The animals recognized him and knew that he was a god. As the sun began to set, the fairies started screaming and pointing to each other on the mountainside. Here came Dionysus, riding on the backs of lions! He grabbed the animals by their strong manes and rode them like mounts, laughing.
