In his stories, Fakir Baykurt deals with problems such as the harshness of village life, poverty, ignorance, bigotry, superstition and exploitation, and deals with the material and spiritual world of the villagers from a socialist and realistic perspective. Based on observations and live testimonies, the author occasionally uses a humorous language by bringing daily spoken language into the story; It strikingly depicts the "ordinary person" who is stuck between the wheels of bureaucracy but harbors hope within him, together with the atmosphere of the place he lives in.

We are bringing together Telli Yol, which was first published in 1998, with the reader again: At that moment, in the ward number 114, a Lightning flashed, Merdan's face lit up: "Oh man, I am a Bosnian Turk; how could I not understand? We were learning Turkish at school in the Republic of Yugoslavia. Moreover, my parents spoke Turkish to me at home!" Merdan speaks fast. It also has a different Turkish. He was also happy, months later he met someone who spoke Turkish. He got carried away, he explains. While I was listening to Merdan, a ball of flame flew out of me. I felt pain as if my hair and eyebrows were burned by this flame. Maybe you won't believe it, Merdan has one arm missing from the elbow and the other from the base. His lower hips were also cut off. There is only a bass and body. He's such a tough kid. Its half arm looks like the handle of that mallet. He can turn left and right in bed, but I don't think he can go to the toilet on his own, and when he comes back, he can go to bed on his own. The Germans pulled him out from under the rubble. He lay there unconscious for three days. When it was taken out, it was covered in broken and rotten parts. It turned the crushed bones into gangrene. Doctors could not find a solution other than amputating his arms and legs.
