Coincidence-Assassination of the Sultan

Coincidence happened in 1905 during World War II. It is about the assassination attempt on Abdulhamid at the exit of Yildiz Mosque. With the investigation carried out around a historical event, both the assassination attempt is clarified and the past, longings, dreams, regrets and loves of the people involved in the incident are brought to light through various means. The fiction, which includes Sultan Abdülhamid, palace intrigues, journals, Committee of Union and Progress, the Armenian Organization and large and small actors, takes you on a tour of the ancient districts of Istanbul. The story of three men in love with a woman is blended with death, impossibility and tragedy.

"From where? Who was so angry that he took so many lives? asked Mr. Asaf. In fact, he was looking for answers to questions that he knew but could not understand.

“Sometimes one should ask 'how' rather than 'why'. "The real answers are hidden in this question," said Mr. Cemal. The sentence was not an answer, but it explained what path should be followed.

“Does it not matter to you why this is done? “I think this is the real problem.” Mr. Asaf was still looking for the truth in the question of why.

“Stop asking the damn question. The reason is clear as day!” Cemal Bey's voice rose. It was obvious that the conversation would go to very different places. Asaf Bey was also afraid of this. Although he still believed he was right, he no longer asked "why?"

“But still, these coincidences…” said Mr. Asaf, his sentence left hanging in the void. He could not give up his childish insistence and stubbornness.

“Maybe none of this is a coincidence.” Mr. Cemal said the last word a little nervously. Leaving the smell of iodine, the seagulls and Mr. Asaf on the beach, he walked quickly towards the scrapyard.
