The problems posed by the forms of persecution of two minorities in specific national situations have much in common: pogroms/lynchings, Jewish Bund party/Black party, return to Palestine/return to Africa, cultural demands, particularism/universalism... And the two communities' The means of liberation are equally complex: how do you defend your individual and collective rights when you are a minority and a victim of ancestral racism? It enables us to understand the historical, but always current, aspects of the debate around racism and the paths that liberation of oppressed groups can take. The present work claims to be a contribution to Marxist thought's necessary confrontation with issues of race, tribe and nationality.
