The development indicator of a society can be measured by how that society perceives knowledge, art, morality, politics and existence.
Just as it is not possible for a society that cannot produce knowledge to achieve a standard of living at the same level as other societies, it is also not possible for a society that has not made progress in moral and political matters to create harmony within itself. On the other hand, the perception of existence will determine, on the one hand, whether technology, which can be defined as the skill of shaping matter, will be formed or not, and on the other hand, the bond that a person will establish with the material and spiritual realm.

Any development and progress in all these areas needs a plan, program and method. Because the main thing is to produce accurate information. Correct information cannot be obtained without a method. The societies of the world that are considered developed have gone through such a process in their history and have reached their current situation in this way.

The History of Modern Philosophy deals with this process that the West went through and includes the views of philosophers who grew up in that geography. Western philosophers first questioned what the method should be in order to reach accurate knowledge in the fields mentioned above and tried to produce knowledge in line with a certain method in all fields. Naturally, this did not happen suddenly, it covered a certain period of time.

From the moment information is produced and presented to people's minds, it is the common property of everyone, that is, it is universal. No matter where it is produced, every society must access the information necessary to develop and progress. The main purpose of preparing this study is to contribute to understanding what kind of process Western societies are going through in this sense and to access the information produced.

It should not be forgotten that everything starts in the mind first...
